I am currently the principal of George Washington Carver Early Education Center (CEEC).  I am starting my 21st year with Lockhart ISD.  I am a Southwest Texas State University graduate with a bachelor degree in education.  I received a masters’ degree in administration supervision from The University of Phoenix in 2007.

I am living out my dreams and I give God the glory for blessing me tremendously. It is an honor to serve as Principal of G. W. CEEC.  Like Mr. Carver, I want to make a difference. Mr. Carver and I were both born on July 12th, what a coincidence. There are so many reasons why I am proud to serve as the leader of Carver.  One is that I attended Carver as a child. I also enjoy witnessing the early learning that happens in pre-kindergarten.  The excitement and joy in their eyes when the students learn something new is a special experience.

In my 24 years as an educator, my desire for education has only intensified.  As an instructional leader, I am committed to helping students to realize the value of education and to help teachers continue to grow. I believe that my leadership role is very important in steering the vision of the school community. My vision is that our pre- kindergarten students will be kindergarten ready through learning, playing and exploring.

The Mission of G.W. Carver in partnership with our parents and the community is to provide a caring environment where students are safe, feel valued, and are challenged to reach their full potential. Our motto is that students will learn, play and explore!
